Two zones: EDC and DM workspace

What lives where and how to switch.

The portal has two zones. They look different on purpose: the EDC is marked red, the DM workspace blue.

EDC: running your own studies

A simple data capture system for your own studies: registries, observational and retrospective studies, patient surveys. Today it has studies, sites, a team with roles, invitations and an audit trail with integrity checks. The eCRF builder, patients and queries move over from youEDC 0.2 in the next stage.

DM workspace: data management in any EDC

Data-management work on studies that run in other systems. Each such study is a DM project with its team, task list and tools; next to them are tools that work on a single uploaded file: profiler, export comparison, query report, reconciliation, data review and others.

Switching

Two tabs at the top of the left menu: “EDC” and “DM”. The current zone is named in the top bar. If an administrator turns the DM workspace off, its tab disappears.

One project mechanism. A study in youEDC and a DM project are the same kind of project: a team with roles, an audit trail, admin limits. The type is chosen when the project is created; studies are listed in the EDC zone, DM projects in the DM zone.
